Lovett!

I've had a massive art crush on Dane Lovetts work for a good five or so years now. His work has changed over that time, but always present is a clear and simple beauty. In his latest collection he takes a traditional approach to still life painting, grouping together not so classical objects and slightly outdated technology. You can check out more of his work here - danelovett.com - lovett!

softened by the light

Gorgeous back stage shots for Chanel fall 2011 couture - captured by Schohaja for V Magazine. I love the mood evoked by the tight crops and soft light - the way that objects have been placed in front of the lens to colour and distort the imagery, giving it extra depth and dimension. Creating a story that feels so feminine and beautiful.

Heroine SS10/11 Concept Shoot

Just thought I'd share with you a couple of pics from a concept shoot Frank did back in Feb 2011 for the beautiful new label Heroine (founded by myself and two friends). This shoot was produced to launch our very first mini collection - SS10/11 - and was based around the idea of a feminine suburban warrior. Keep up to date with what the Heroine ladies are up to via facebook or by subscribing to our blog - heroinelabel.blogspot.com. Our SS11/12 collection is launching next month!

A TRIP TO GRANS HOUSE

A trip to Bolton to visit Gran's old place, Frank captured a set of memories from his childhood. A look back in time after several years away at a house that has not been fully re-decorated since the 50’s. With his lens, Frank transferred these memories onto film. Check out more of his work here...
